The Commuter Choice Certificate Program at the Center for Urban Transportation Research and Florida Department of Transportation are pleased to present the Employer Outreach Training Workshop Series. We encourage you to participate in the live, online training to be held on May 27-28, 2020. There is no cost for Florida residents, but space is limited and registration is required.

Training Workshop:

The training workshop, “Strengthening Your Professional Effectiveness in Achieving Desired TDM Program Results,” will be held May 27-28, 2020.

The training workshop is designed to best strengthen the TDM professional’s efforts in meeting assigned employer outreach program goals by learning how to how to “anticipate” and “serve” the needs of your current or potential clients, focus your efforts for greater results, and incorporate key strategies to overcome challenges and constraints.

The interactive, specialized TDM professional training will focus on enhancing employer outreach efforts in establishing employer based TDM strategies and programs. Specific urban and rural TDM program outreach strategies will be included and new and established employer TDM program perspectives will be covered. Participants will be encouraged to share best practices and take part in key exercises to incorporate learning.

A pre-training webinar will be held to detail participant’s current situations, review the training structure and outline expectations. In addition, a post-training webinar will be offered to provide an opportunity to share how participants have incorporated the newly learned skills and strategies into their work, respond to questions and reinforce training.

Workshop Facilitator:

Felicia Woodruff, founder and CEO of Woodruff Company Engineered Solutions (WCES), has been engineering TDM strategies and creating employer, commuter and transportation solutions for over 25 years. Her experience includes leading the Virginia Megaprojects Employer Solutions team, a regional TDM agency and serving at both the Virginia Department of Transportation and the Department of Rail and Public Transportation agencies. In addition, she has served as a director at a regional transit agency and as the state regional manager for a medium duty bus dealer.

Ms. Woodruff has extensive, results oriented experience in forming vanpools and managing vanpool programs in multiple markets. WCES has worked on behalf of numerous public and private clients in promoting a new long-distance commuter bus service, establishing newly designated Best Workplaces for Commuters(BWC) employers, and in establishing telework, bikeshare and commuter transit benefits programs.
